I enjoy speaking to civic groups (Kiwanis, Lions, Soroptimist, etc.), Friends of the Library, retired educators, retired military and wives, writers' groups, and at writing and literature conferences. I talk about the agony and ecstasy of writing and publishing my first book, noting that the ecstasy far outweighs the agony!
My friend and fellow author, Mary Skillings-Prigger (www.mjwrites4kids.com), and I have a joint presentation that we call "Stories from the Heartland." Both of us have historical books for children set in Kansas.
